1st PIIE Congress

Today, I got off the bed in a good mood. Maybe the excitement for the congress have something to do about it. So after showering and fixing myself, we drove off to 7/11 near caltex to catch up for the 6:15 meet up. When I arrived, I saw the rest of the crew and entered. Luckily, I wasn't late. So I put down my bag, rushed to the food corner, and bought breakfast. But wasn't able to finish what I bought, for it tasted like sh*t. Sheez! What a waste of money! Then, after, I saw the shirt we designed and got mine.

At around 6:40, we are still not complete. And since we're running late, we decided to pick up Ate Greycie in their home.. and so we did. Then, we also picked up Kevin and Aileen at Jollibee. There, I got another chance of eating a decent breakfast, 'coz I wasn't THAT satisfied with what I ate in 7/11.

After some drive and sing-a-long, we arrived at the venue-- LATE, an hour late. Nothing new. We still hold the record of being late in every event that we attend. haha.

Then, we grabbed our seats, listened to the looooong talk, and controlled our grumbling stomachs due to extreme hunger. Well, that didn't include me, for I ate a heavy breakfast in Jollibee. haha.

After the lunch's over, here comes the start of the IE quiz! Yeay!

If you're asking if I competed...

No. I did not compete. I'm just excited for them. bakit ba? haha. I'm only there to support my IE family and to cheer to the best of my abilities.

The easy round started out shaky, but we managed to straighten things up, earning a score of 40 points. Not bad. ;) Though we're really pissed about the rejection of one of our answers just because the final answer wasn't boxed out. Not to mention, the acceptance of other answers close to the right answer (but not exact) in another question, when it was ONLY our team who got exact value. We should've scored 50 points. tss.

At the average round, luck left us. It was a series of unfortunate events that followed. We were not able to use our alternates, when they were the ones who know the right answers to the questions in the average round. *sigh*. regrets. regrets. Because of that, we were not able to qualify for the difficult round.

But that didn't ruined our day. There's still "talentadong IE" for us to win. haha. Just before they called our very own "talentadong IE's", a raffle was drawn. I was a bit surprised when my number got called. haha. It was my very first time to ever win a raffle and I'm still in shock up to now. :) I won a PIIE tumbler. yay!

Then, after the draw, the contest started. I was very entertained with the host of that part of the program. Bubbles was really funny. I almost cried laughing. He was a real Jester. haha. Here's a photo of him with THE Super JunJun:

After the 3rd contestant, it was our IE-girl's turn to shine. They danced very well and managed to pull it all off. Though there were some unnoticeable mistakes. Too bad Bubbles saw it. haha. But all in all, it was splendid! Good job, girls!

Then after the next performer, we decided to leave. We didn't get to hear about who won, but we were able to get our last picture right before leaving. Syempre!

Fun indeed.

Again, on our way back, we had a lil sing-a-long and tons of laughing. I super duper enjoyed every second of it.

That's why I can't wait for the next PIIE. It's our turn to study for the next bee. I'm soooooo excited and nervous at the same time. haha.

Thank you, guys! My day started and ended out GREAT. Thanks to you.

I <3 IE

... and I'm proud to be one!

A Short Essay About ME

INTROSO

Who Am I and Why Am I the Way I Am?

I’m just an average guy with simple wants and needs. I enjoy having a quiet time ‘coz it makes me feel peaceful and relaxed. The talkative side of me only comes out when I know the person I’m talking to very well. I’m also not an outgoing person. I usually spend all of my time at home net surfing, watching TV, listening to music, or studying. But when close friends ask me out, I do go out with them, especially if we are in a group, because I love group pictures. I hate seeing group pictures of my friends without, me, being there. I feel jealous. haha. I love food and I’m also not a sporty person, which you can already tell by just looking at me. I find difficulties in breathing when I get very tired. That’s why I hate sports, but not all. I play badminton, volleyball, and chess.

I love nature. I find sight-seeing very entertaining. It’s very refreshing in the eye. I’m an animal lover too. I had many pets way back like dogs, rabbits, birds, fishes, guinea pigs, and chickens. Though I’m an animal lover, I hate reptiles and amphibians. Frogs and snakes give me the creeps. I really hate ‘em.

When it comes to academics, I enjoy math, english, and drawing. These subjects became my basis of what course to take in college. In my high school years, I’m very active when it comes to extracurricular activities. I joined almost every orgs present. I became a member of the student body, a member of the school choir, and even took hard military training during our CAT1. I also participate in every quiz bees, though I only won once. I was a consistent honor student from kindergarten up to 4th year high school. On the other hand, in college, I only joined the orgs, Rotaract and Tinig ng Lasalyano, because I know that Engineering is a tough course and because I want a good balance between my studies and extracurriculars. Luckily, I became successful in maintaining the equilibrium between the two. I even managed to make it on the dean’s list, though it was short-lived. haha.

Even though I consider my studies as my priority, I always make sure that I also have time for myself. During free time, I play computer games, watch movies, play with friends, and go out with the barkada. I have a social life too you know. ;)

None of these would have happened if it weren’t for my Family who took care of me and mold my being as a kid up to now, my Friends who served as my confidant and taught me how to have a social life, and my Teachers who fed me with knowledge which will be beneficial to whatever career I may take in the near future. I Am ME because of them and I am thankful for that. :)
