Ready, Aim, Fire!

I had a super duper fun and adventurous week. Lots of new things and experiences in just a span of a week. I rarely do blogs twice in a row, but this is just too memorable for me that I had to share it.

I think the title, somewhat, gave you a hint of what happened today. :))
If not, here are some pictures to help you.

Yes! You got it right! We had a gun safety seminar and had some practice shooting. It was my first time to hold a gun.. and what made it awesome-r is that I got the chance to fire it. I can't believe that I actually hit the target, not once.. not twice.. a lot! I had a couple of single and multiple target rounds and not once did I missed! Not bad for a newbie eh?! ;) I never pictured myself holding a gun and also never thought of firing one, that's why I'm still in awe that this REALLY happened.
I hope this would not be the last time I'll be doing this. I'm wishing that in the next firing, there would be a bull's eye target so I can see how accurate my shooting is.

Truly an EXTRAORDINARY experience!

Oh! I enjoyed the boodle fight, btw! The REAL highlight of the day! haha

Happy Time in Happy Lemon!

After a week of stress and disappointments, we found an opportunity to unwind and have fun.
To make the 11/11/11 day special, we decided to go to Eastwood! I was very excited, since it was my first time to go to the place, and I'm really thankful that I got to spend it with my IE friends.

It was an ADVENTURE! Commuting is a real challenge. I imagined ourselves joining the "Amazing Race", like we were the lost contestants asking for directions. The looooong walk was extremely exhausting, but it was worth it. Like our other trips, deciding where to eat, still became the problem. haha. what's new? :))

I was really hesitant, at first, to eat in a seafood restaurant since I'm not a fan of seafoods, but when I saw that they also serve meat, I joined their decision. The foods were AWESOME! I enjoyed it and ate a lot!

See what I mean?

After having the mouth-watering food I showed you, we continue on exploring the mall and see if there's something that we might want to buy. They found and bought couple of things. Unfortunately, the things I want, were too expensive for my budget. I really wished my parents were with me that time. haha. But no worries! I'll be back soon -- this time with my parents. Maybe then I can afford them. HAHA.

Then after the shopping, Happy Lemon came next! Yay!
I did not regret having their Milk Tea with Oreos and Cream.
Omnomnom. Delicioso!, as Dora's backpack would say! :))
Can't wait to try the others.

After some happy time in happy lemon,
we decided to go home.
Who would knew that commuting back home would become twice as difficult as going to the place.
We had another loooong walk to look for a ride and it had me sweating like hell! Good thing i brought 2 hankies with me. hahaha.
After sometime, we found our ride and finally got home.
Safe and Alive! Thanks to God! :))

I had a BLAST! Hope we can go back soon and try Red Box,
but I DO HOPE we have a car next time around. hahaha. ;)

Small Things Make Me Happy

I have come across one of the comments that I failed to read (because the oh-so-great blogger sent it to spam). I would like to dedicate this post to the person who wrote this:

Whoever you are, I know it's late... but I want you to know that you made me feel a whole lot better. It feels good to know that my works are appreciated. I'm extremely grateful. Thank you. :))

The Tangled Experience

I never thought that i will be able to fly one of these Sky Lanterns that I see in movies.

Difficult to set up? YES. but i tell you.... IT's ALL WORTH IT!

See how our babies fly:

Beautiful, isn't it? :))
I'm still in awe, seeing how our Sky Lanterns take off.
and with that, i can say that I now believe in fairytales 'coz we just made Tangled happen! :))
Can't wait for our next Sky Lantern flying.

Back Tracking

Hey there! It's me again. :)

Recently, I've been hearing news about the nearing farewell of friendster. If i remembered it clearly, I think it was supposed to be on the 30th of May. SUPPOSEDLY. I have no idea why it is still up. haha.

So, going back to what I'm saying.. two days ago, after hearing the news, I logged on to my FS account with the intention of saving all my photos before they delete it. As I go through my profile, I thought of reading all the testimonials I've got, from the very first... down to the very last. As I read them, I felt like I was traveling through time. It felt like I'm a High School student again. I was smiling the whole time reading testimonials about the silly things that happened back then. Like this one:

hahaha. Good ole days! BTW, that was during my freshman days in college, not HS. :)

and ofcourse there are some that, really, touched my heart. Like these:

By reading them, I got the chance to remember all the impressions i made to my classmates. Making me feel, somehow, special. And oh! Who would forget the testimonials that mentioned that Im CUTE. hahahaha. Here are some proof:

Well. I couldn't disagree on what they've said. hahahahaha. Except for the latter part of the second one. lol :D

Kidding aside, all the testimonials I got were really heart warming and made me feel blessed for having been given lots of friends. Such nice words from these people. To everyone who wrote those testimonial for me, I want you to all know that even though I'm not able to post them all here, 'cos it'll consume lots of space in this blog, I'm deeply thankful to you guys! :))

I also wanna thank Friendster for being a part of my highschool and freshman(college) years. If you wanna delete your website, you are more than free to do so, coz i've already saved all the pics and printscreened all my testimonials. haha. But seriously, thanks for keeping all those good memories. :))

'til next time, readers! :D

Seriously???

I am still in shock and, at the same time, amazed by how things turned out earlier. It was my first time to ever enter a quiz bee in a trio and it turned out to be a memorable one. Why? 'Coz WE WON! Would you believe that?

If NO, then SO AM I! hahahaha. I mean... Seriously.

We knew a week before that we're gonna be competing, but we're not THAT determined to prepare and study for it. In fact, during the weekend, my groupmate texted me, asking me if i wanna join the quiz just for fun. I didn't reply, and instead saved my answer for monday (which is yesterday).

We just finalized our decision yesterday and agreed to just join so that there would be a representative for the IE Dept. Yes, we want to win BUT we're not really expecting this. If i remember my own words correctly, i said "Asa pa tayong manalo.". Pero buti na lang hindi ako nagdilang anghel. All thanks to luck and to God ofcourse.

I would say that the event was a successful one because every department participated. All of us did our part well. I had fun. Kudos to the organizers and to our group! :)

The Ice Skating Underdog

I'm so dead beat from our ice skating trip at the Mall of Asia. Though I'm a bit disappointed that i didn't get to learn how to skate, unlike the rest. Who would knew that Ice Skating was not as easy as it looks? was not like using the "Flying Shoes"? I guess my assumption was wrong. I should have anticipated this in the first place. It was NOT worth my money. Felt like I burned three hundred peso bills. *argh*.

Don't get me wrong. I love the trip. It's only the skating that I loathe. I was happy that I was not alone on quitting. A good friend of mine accompanied me as the rest skated. We just spent the rest of our time eating lasagna, carbonara, and pizza. Oh! The JOY of eating! haha.

Putting the bitterness in skating aside, I was really happy that I got to spend this day with my engineering friends. I really missed them. How I wish we could do this sometime again (minus the skating). LOL. Can't wait for the next field trip in our Strength of Materials class. I bet this would be FUN-er. haha.

Well, that's all for now. Bed's calling. See ya in my next post. buh-bye! ;)
